Planning, Identification of Resources & Assessment of Stakeholders: 15 points

What type of needs assessment(s) will you use? What key people are you going to target? Students, Teachers, Parents, Administrators, School Board members, Community and/or Business leaders, companies and/or service organizations?

Organizing, Presentation of Data from Assessment, Marketing and Goal Setting: 15 points

What are your goals and how are your goals determined? What resources will be utilized? What is your budget? How can you create more resources? What grants are available? How are responsibilities assigned? How will the program be marketed?

Implementation of program: 30 points

What are your priorities? How do you balance your time? Classroom, Individual and/or Group Guidance? How are you helping students in their EDP-educational development plan, improving academic skills and student self-awarness/relationship skills? What specific activities are you using?

Evaluation of program: 20 points

How do you assess yourself? How do you assess your effectiveness and/or the program's? How have you helped to improve your school district and/or building? How do you measure how you've help improve student achievement, learning, test scores, etc.?

Bibliography: 10 points, minimum 5 sources including textbook (prefer APA style)

Balance of Voice: 10 points, Proper mix of research and own voice; 66.66% your own voice (own words, own original ideas) and 33.33% quoted material (other's ideas)

a. Choose a preferred K-12 school environment to apply your counseling skills.

b. Develop a paper taking a position on how you'll apply your skills to facilitate, develop, coordinate, collaborate, etc. with others to implement and maintain a comprehensive guidance program given knowledge from your readings, class discussions, personal philosophies, etc.

c. Explain the obstacles and hurdles to implementation including, but not limited to No Child Left Behind legislation, environmental, cultural and other factors. Include examples of ethical dilemmas that you may encounter during the implementation process. What will your school counseling program look like? What will be similar or different to other programs? What will be the keys to success and how will success be measured and evaluated? Since you have no budget, how will you develop funding resources to facilitate and assist in developing and maintaining resources in your program?

d. This position paper should be at least 10 pages and preferrably done in APA style.
